Restaurant Logo Concept
Without any details we were asked to put together a few ideas for a new restaurant marketing logo concept for a presentation. The budget was small so we only had a few hours to spend initially on the project.
How do you design something when you have never met the players involved and have only a few scant details?
The answer is you don’t. Well, not really. You can however offer two strategically different concepts and wait for some feedback. Make them so different that there is no middle ground, they will either lean one way or another and by that process you will garner precious information to refine the concept. Sometimes this process takes them far far away from what they initially envisioned. Here are two totally different versions of the same concept. How you would view the establishment would vary greatly depending on which version was selected.
In all probability the final logo design may not resemble either of these initial concepts, but this is how the process begins if no foundation is established to begin with, it’s left solely to the designer based on what little information they have. In this case we have two common nouns making up the name of the restaurant and a simple tag as to what they primarily offer guests.
